MC Truck Driver

FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES: Truck Drivers, MC licence essential

* $54.76 flat hourly rate
* FIFO from Perth 14/14 Roster

Our Transport team are responsible for the distribution of freight from the supply base and warehouse areas to contractor’s locations on site and all reverse logistics. Our transport team prides itself on hands on service and delivering freight in a professional, timely and safe manner. Our fleet consists of a variety of single prime movers, road trains, B doubles, singles, floats and 8 line platform trailers.

In this role you will be responsible for:

* Attending and participating in prestart and restart meetings
* Hitching and unhitching trailers
* Transporting containerised; break bulk and Dangerous Goods cargo from wharfs and laydown areas as per the requirement of contractors
* Completing various delivery paperwork and driver run sheets accurately
* Load restraint compliance inspections prior to haulage
* Complying with all safety procedures and KPIs including but not limited to: Risk Assessments, Work Method Statements, Job Hazard Analysis and personal Step Back 5×5

In order to be considered for this position you must:

* Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and team work;
* Have accurate communication, hand writing and record keeping skills;
* Have excellent driving skills;
* Have strong experience in short haul deliveries driving Singles and B-doubles;
* Hold the transport DG by Road qualification
* Be conversant with current load restraint practises and guidelines;
* Be able to conduct multiple deliveries involving trailer swaps (minimum of 6 per day on average shift)
* Have proven experience with 18 speed road ranger gear boxes and the ability to pass a VOC and on-site challenge test
* Have experience delivering multiple freight on short haul journeys

In addition you must be able to produce at interview stage:

* MC Drivers Licence
* LF HRWL (desirable)
* Dangerous Goods Licence
* White Card
* Ability to obtain an MSIC

Based on Barrow Island, these positions are working up to 12 hours per day on a 2/2 family friendly roster FIFO from Perth.
